When to repair or replace your Cooking Oil Tester (TPM)

Troubleshooting | Know when your Cooking Oil Tester (TPM) needs repair or replacement, and how to arrange it.

Written by Freyja Jensen-Dowell

Before You Start

Most problems with the Cooking Oil Tester (TPM) are fixable, so work through these first:

  • Cooking Oil Tester (TPM) won't turn on, won't charge, or drains quickly

  • Cooking Oil Tester (TPM) won't connect to the Squizify app

  • Cooking Oil Tester (TPM) readings look wrong, show zero, or won't settle

Steps to Fix

Your tester may need servicing if:

  • It will not turn on after a full charge.

  • It will not charge with a known-good charger and cable.

  • It will not hold its calibration even after adjusting.

  • It is physically damaged.

If any of these apply, contact the Squizify support team with a short description of the fault and what you have already tried.

If Still Not Working

Do not keep using a tester you cannot trust — inaccurate readings can lead to oil being kept too long or thrown out too early. If you are unsure, contact the support team and they will help.

Why This Happens

Like any electronic device, the battery and sensor wear over time. The tester is covered for 2 years from the date of purchase — see Cooking Oil Tester (TPM) warranty, spare parts, and disposal.
