To ensure the Cooking Oil Tester produces accurate readings the calibration must be checked regularly.
The calibration can be adjusted on the probe itself. To check the calibration you must have:
A Lumity TPM Cooking Oil Tester
Access to hot water
Emerson Calibration Test Oil (check that it is in date)
Let's get started
1. Clean the sensor using a cloth or disposable paper towel.
2. Place the reference oil container in a jug of hot water.
3. Warm the oil until it reaches 50°C.
4. Immerse the Cooking Oil Tester into the reference oil and take a reading.
5. Compare the reading with the label value.
If deviation is more than 2%, adjustment is necessary.
If deviation is 2% or less, no adjustment is needed.
6. You have checked the calibration of the Lumity Cooking Oil Tester!
If adjustment is needed, see: How to adjust calibration on the Lumity Cooking Oil Tester
