Overview
Your Cooking Oil Tester (TPM) is used around hot oil and cooking equipment, so a few simple safety habits keep your team safe. The two main hazards are heat, from the hot probe and oil, and electricity, from nearby mains-powered equipment. None of this is difficult to manage — it just pays to keep it in mind every time you take a reading.
How It Works
The probe sits directly in hot frying oil, so both the oil and the probe tip get very hot and stay hot for a while after use. Kitchens also have mains-powered and induction equipment nearby, which is why the tester should be kept dry and away from power cords, and why induction hobs should be switched off before you measure — this is both safer and gives a more accurate reading.
Key Things to Know
The probe and oil are hot — handle the tester by its body and let the probe cool before cleaning.
Do not touch power cords or mains connections while using the tester, and keep the unit dry.
Turn off induction hobs before measuring.
Do not touch the high-temperature parts of the probe.
Use only original spare parts and chargers.
If the tester fails, stop using it and contact the Squizify support team. Do not take it apart yourself.
