What do the lights on my Standard printer mean?

The lights on your printer depends on the model, if you're unsure which model of printer you have please have a look at our Printers Overview article.

Description

Printer Ready

The White ( ONLINE) light around the FEED button is solid on.

Cover Open

When the cover is open the printer will make a beep sound, and the White ( ONLINE), Red ( ERROR) and Green ( LABEL) lights will flash once.

**FEED **

Press the FEED button to feed out blank labels, the White ( ONLINE) light will flash once.

Out of paper

When your printer is out of labels a beep sound will be made and the Red ( ERROR) light will flash.

Label gap/black mark error

If the printer is unable to locate the gap between labels, a beep sound will be made and the White ( ONLINE) and Red ( ERROR) lights will flash.

Print head overheated

When the printer head overheats a beep sound will be made and the White ( ONLINE) and Red ( ERROR) lights will alternate flash.

Other errors

If any other errors are present a beep sound will be made and the White ( ONLINE) and Red ( ERROR) lights will alternate flash.

Our Standard Large printer has a single button which can be pressed once to manually feed blank labels through the machine.



Premium


Lights

Event

Description

Status

Status light displays the status of your printer and is probably the most important as the majority of troubleshooting will involve this light.

Pause

Pause light shows when the printer is paused.

Data

Data light indicates data being sent to and from the printer.

Supplies

Supplies informs you if the printer is open or closed and whether you need new printer rolls.

Connection

The connection light indicates whether your printer is connected, and how it is connected to your device.

Buttons

Pause

This button does what it says, it allows you to pause mid-print and also to unpause. The power of these buttons is when we use them together which is covered in our Recalibration article.

Feed

This feeds your printer roll to ensure you have installed it correctly. This button is also great if you need any blank labels.

Cancel

The cancel button cancels prints and any additional or pending print jobs, basically it clears the memory of the printer.
