My temperature sensor keeps losing connection

The most common cause of sensors regularly losing connection and generating offline notifications is signal issues between the sensor and gateway.

What can I do?

Test near another working sensor

The first step is to place the sensor next to a working sensor and wait to see if the sensor maintains a connection.
You can do this by:
Remove the sensor from the food storage unit.
Place the sensor next to a confirmed working sensor
Wait to see if the sensor continues to go offline (you may need to wait a while depending on how regularly your sensor is losing connection)
If the sensor maintains a connection please reach out to Squizify support via the in-app chat bubble to discuss how to resolve the issue.

Reset your sensor

If the sensor does not maintain a connection you will need to manually reset the sensor. You can find video guides on how to do this here.
(When a sensor is reset it will lose any data it has stored, so it's important to troubleshoot offline sensors as early as possible to avoid losing compliance data!)
Turn the sensor off.
Wait 5 minutes.
Turn the sensor on.
Wait to see if the sensor continues to go offline (you may need to wait a while depending on how regularly your sensor is losing connection).

Sensor is still going offline

If your sensor continues to lose connection please reach out to our support team via the in-app chat bubble.
