My gateway is offline
If your Squizify gateway appears offline, it will likely be due to power or network connectivity issues. This guide will help you diagnose and resolve common problems to restore your gateway's connection.
Squizify gateways feature three LED lights:
Power ( Red ): Indicates power status.
Data ( Green ): Shows sensor communication.
Network ( Blue ): Reflects internet connectivity.
Refer to the LED behaviors below to identify issues:
Solid: Gateway is connected to a power source.
Flashing: Operating on internal battery; not connected to power.
Off: No power. Ensure the gateway is plugged into a working outlet using a functional USB-C cable and adapter.
Solid/Flashing: Sensors are communicating with the gateway.
Off: No data from sensors. Verify that sensors are powered on and within range.
Solid/Flashing: Connected to the internet.
Off: No internet connection.
To check if your gateway is online:
Log in to the Squizify App.
Navigate to Sensors > Settings > Setup.
Press the refresh button next to the gateway name.
Check the Last Uplink Received Time; it should reflect the current date and time if online.
Check out our How to check the gateway is connected to the platform article for more detailed instructions.
If you've received a Gateway Offline Alert, it indicates the gateway has shut down due to a drained battery. To resolve:
Plug the gateway back into a power source.
If issues persist, contact Squizify Support.
Restarting can resolve temporary issues:
Use a ballpoint pen or similar object to press the button next to the USB-C port.
Hold until the RED light flashes once.
Release the button and wait up to 5 minutes for the gateway to reboot.
Please make sure you let go as soon as the red light flashes once, any longer and you will switch the gateway into mobile mode!
If the network light is off:
Plug the gateway into power (if not already).
Press and hold the button next to the power supply until the BLUE light flashes once.
On your device, connect to the gateway's Wi-Fi network (Wi-Fi name matches the gateway serial number).
Enter the password: gnd@1234X (replace X with the sum of the last 4 serial number digits).
In your browser, go to 192.168.4.1 if the setup page doesn't appear automatically.
Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
Click Save; the gateway will restart and attempt to connect.
Please see our How to set up the gateway article for more detailed instructions.
