Capturing daily temperature checks
The food safety standards specify that potentially hazardous foods must be stored, displayed and transported at safe temperatures and, where possible, prepared at safe temperatures. To cover your business and ensure compliance we track daily temperature checks through tasks.
Log in to the Squizify application, and go to Tasks in the left side menu.
Select the procedure you would like to complete. In this case we will be capturing our AM Temperature checks located in the left hand menu.
Click the AM Temp check in the left hand menu. Then click the temperature input field. A right hand pop-up will slide out.
Capture the temperature, in some cases there will be a demonstration video of how to capture the temperature correctly.
If the temperature is within range click the blue Next button to capture the next product temperature.
If the temperature is out of range click the red Action Required button. A pop-up will appear with full instructions, select an option and retest the temperature if needed. If you select Other Action, make sure to type a note of the action taken and click the blue Arrow to upload the response.
If you want to add an additional Note, Photo or Action click on the arrow on the right next to the buttons, this will expand the additional features.
To add anything simply click on the Note, Photo or Action icon.
When Adding a Note, type the note and click the blue SAVE button. The note is now added with reference to who added it and at what time and date.
When Adding a Photo from your tablet or phone, take the photo and click the blue UPLOAD button. The photo is now added under the Images heading, note you can add multiple photos if needed.
Adding an Action is similar to adding an Action in the Action Tab. Simply click the Action icon and complete all the fields.
Make sure you assign the Action, select the Priority and enter a Due date and time. You can upload images if needed too. Once done click the blue CREATE ACTION button. The action is now added to you Tasks, and will automatically appear in the main Actions tab. The assignee will also be notified.
Complete all temperature checks in the Task list.
Temperature captures are now completed and will reflect in the Top Daily, Weekly and Monthly summary percentage. It will also update your compliance on the Analytics page where team members can view your progress.
