How to Add a Recipe

Recipes are an integral part of any food business. The Squizify Recipe module ensures that all staff — whether in a single location, across Australia, or around the world — are on the same page. Recipes can include step-by-step instructions, supported by photos and videos, to show exactly how each product is made. You can also capture detailed nutrition information, allergen details, and ingredient lists, all of which can be easily linked directly to product labels for complete accuracy and compliance.

Here are the simple steps to create your own Recipe card.

  1. From the main menu, select "General" and go to "Product Info" then select "Recipes"

  1. Once you're in the recipes section click on "Add New" !Add New
  2. When the Add New Recipe menu pops out you can start to fill in the information for your recipe.  The first section of your recipe is where you’ll enter the basic information — this includes the recipe name, subtitle, area, and category. This information helps organise your recipes and makes them easy for staff to find and identify.
You will need to add in a subtitle in order to save- if you do not need one you can simply just use the space bar in this field.

  1. After entering the basic details, move on to the nutrition section. Here you can add all the key details that make up your recipe, including:
  • Ingredients – List all components required for the recipe.
  • Instructions – Provide step-by-step directions, including photos or videos if available.
  • Equipment – Note any tools or appliances needed to prepare the recipe.
  • Allergen Information – Identify any allergens present to ensure food safety and compliance.
  • Nutrition – Record nutrition details such as energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, and sodium.

  1. You do not need to fill out all fields, only the ones that are relevant to your business.
If you want to link any of this information to a label, you must tick "Approved" under each section.

Approved

  1. Once you have completed all fields, click SAVE.
You will need to add an image in order to save. This can be any image (e.g. your logo or an image sourced from the internet).
