How to Set Up Alerts in Squizify

Alerts allow you to display banners on the screen to remind staff about upcoming or current events. You can customize the message, timing, recurrence, and even require staff acknowledgment.



Steps to Create an Alert

  1. Go to the Alerts Section
  2. Select General from the left-hand menu. Click Alerts.
  3. Add a New Alert
  • Click Add in the top-right corner.

Enter Alert Details


  • Message: Type the message you want to display to staff.
  • Severity: Choose the severity level (this will be shown with the alert).
  • Display From: Select the start date and time.
  • Display Until: Select the end date and time.
  • Repeat Every: Choose how often the alert should recur (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
    • For Weekly, select the day(s) of the week.
    • For Monthly, choose beginning, end, or a specific day of the month.
  • Stores: Select which stores the alert should appear in.
  • States: Some alerts may apply to specific states; select if needed.

User Acknowledgment (Optional)


  • Tick Need User Acknowledgment if you want staff to confirm they’ve seen the alert.
  • Tick Discard After User Acknowledgment if you want the alert to disappear once acknowledged (requires the above option to be selected).


Upload Supporting Video (Optional)

  • You can attach a video to help staff understand the message.


Submit the Alert

  • Click Submit to save and activate the alert.

If you require now further changes click the < Alerts link top right to go back to see all system alerts.

Your system alert will now have been added to your list of alerts and can be tracked and completed here.


✅ Tip: Recurring alerts are helpful for daily reminders like temperature checks or weekly operational tasks.

How to See Who Viewed an Alert


  1. Go to General > Alerts.
  2. Scroll down to see the user names and Acknowledged On times.

This shows who has seen or acknowledged the alert and when.
